Each unit features Series Wound motors which are extremely efficient at higher speeds and less prone to overheating compared to Permanent Magnet motors. Better still, Rough Country Recovery Systems utilize a 3-stage planetary gear train boasting a 265:1 gear ratio; allowing enormous torque in such a small housing. All Rough Country PRO winch systems include a replaceable Clevis hook for convenience.

The product features high-speed efficiency/torque, waterproof, and dustproof capabilities. It also comes with hand control, either pulling in or releasing the cable out, and includes a 12FT cable. The 9,500 lb Synthetic Rope model features 5.5 HP with 85 FT Synthetic Rope and Hawse Fairlead, while the 12,500 lb Synthetic Rope model features 6 HP with 85 FT Synthetic Rope and Hawse Fairlead.
